August 2020 Ministry Update

The need for the Good News in Sierra Leone hasn’t abated, and we remain committed to this end. With masks ever at the ready, we are still “going,” and God is honoring our efforts as we continue to add meetings and potentially gain additional ministry partners.  Yes, our Lord is still working—even in a pandemic.

“Fluid” has become the best description of life in general and deputation specifically. We laughingly say we only write our plans in pencil anymore. With the faithfulness of our partners as an encouragement, we remain steadfast in the work of deputation.  We are so close to reaching our support goals and ask that you pray for the addition of new ministry partners so that we can do what God has tasked us with doing– reaching Sierra Leone for Christ!

In addition, please pray for the following:

  1. The continued reopening of our scheduled and tentatively scheduled churches
  2. Smooth traveling for us as restrictions are made by state governments
  3. The relaxing of Sierra Leone’s stay-at-home order and the reopening of her borders

July 2020 Ministry Update

As another month has passed, thankfully many churches are physically assembling together again and schedule us to share the ministry in Sierra Leone! Our family has been so encouraged by your innovation and resilience, and we are blessed to have you as ministry partners.  Thank you so much for your faithful support and prayers during these challenging times!
Many of you have prayed for our deputation schedule. We happily report that God has answered this request and also provided us with four new ministry partners in the past month! We are finally back on the road, working to raise the remainder of our financial support for the ministry work in Sierra Leone. As Jesus did not place any “Stay-at-Home” disclaimers on the Great Commission, we seek to remain diligent to the task He has given us. Our appointment schedule for the remainder of the year is growing as God continues to provide and to fill our calendar with meetings.  Lord willing, we will move on toward our new targeted date in January.

Please continue to pray for our family’s health and safety as well as:

  • The provision of new ministry partners for reaching Sierra Leone for Christ.
  • Wisdom in the planning & logistical process as our projected January launch date approaches.

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support!

June 2020 Update

Another month has passed and thankfully many churches are beginning to physically assemble together again! As believers, we have much for which to be grateful during these trying times in our nation’s history. Our family has been so encouraged by your innovation and resilience, and we are blessed to have you as ministry partners.

Many of you have prayed for our deputation schedule. We happily report that God has answered this request! We are finally back on the road, working to raise the remainder of our financial support for the ministry work in Sierra Leone. Our appointment schedule for the remainder of the year is growing as God continues to provide and to fill our calendar with meetings. Lord willing, we will move on our new targeted date. Please continue to pray for:

  • The filling of the few remaining open dates on our deputation calendar & provision of new ministry partners for reaching Sierra Leone for Christ
  • The ministry & ministry leaders in Sierra Leone as they continue to deal with the COVID-19 threat/crisis
  • Continued physical, spiritual, and emotional health of our family

COVID-19 Ministry Update

Hello Friends & Ministry Partners,

I hope you all are doing well while navigating through this challenging time of crisis in our country. We have all been given a unique opportunity to point people to Jesus as a result of COVID-19 and minister in creative ways!  We know everyone has been impacted by this virus, I am reaching out to you all regarding the effect of this specifically on our deputation schedule.

Due to COVID-19 and the understandable cancellation of meetings, our September launch date  to Sierra Leone has been pushed back. This has opened several dates on the calendar from now through the fall as we continue to raise our needed, monthly financial support. While unexpected, we trust God will bless this additional time of deputation and use this for our good.

Like you, we are trying to minister in the midst of a crisis and praying for our pastors and churches during this time. We are offering our services in an effort to bless and encourage churches and pastors while quarantined. If anyone is interested in having us share an encouraging devotional, please let me know. We have the technology (Zoom, Google Hangouts, Skype, FaceTime, Facebook, etc.) and the availability to share during services or small group times. Please let us know how we can continue to help and serve you, and know that you are in our prayers continually!
